This blog is about the usage of social media (social web) in education. It is additional to the SOWEBEDU wiki that provides a platform for a community of practice for exploring and analysing the usage of social web in teaching and learning under real educational conditions. It is for documenting our work, collecting resources, discussing related issues, sharing information, and publishing results of the Share.TEC pilot.
In the Share.TEC pilot we analyse the usage of Social Software and Web2.0 tools and services in Teacher Education (TE) and Teacher Training (TT). The pilot has the following objectives.
1. Learn about available web tools and services that are useful for teacher students during their studies, teachers in practice, and teacher educators and trainers.
2. Develop practical experiences for using selected tools and services in educational scenarios.
3. Identify the opportunities and limitations of the tools and services for their effective use.
Based on these objectives we discuss and identify good practices for educational applications of Social Software and Web2.0 tools and services in Teacher Education and Teacher Training.
On this blog we inform you about news and the ongoing activities in the Share.TEC pilot.
